FAQs

Our most frequently asked questions are here, but if you have any other questions,

What is the difference between a dust collector and a dust extractor?

Dust collectors excel at large-scale dust collection, while dust extractors are ideal for smaller spaces and use with handheld tools. Our dust collectors are a great fit for industrial applications.

What solutions do you provide for dust collection and particulate management?

We have many quality options for dust collection and particulate management. Check out what our customer Mike K. says:

"If you want to sell more dust collection, you really need to work with the great team at US Duct!!

I have been selling dust collection for close to 30 years. Until 4-5 years ago duct work was always a huge pain in the back side. Without spending a ton of time and money engineering the duct work, you really couldn’t sell the dust collector or fan. If you spent time engineering duct work you were not able to sell. If you paid someone to do it, you would go broke.

Almost no customer has the ability to engineer duct work. US Duct has always taken duct work and made it easy. Most people hate duct work but the US Duct folks love it and live for it.

Because of this, my business has grown year after year. I now get paid to sell duct work and it lets me sell more dust collectors and fans.

DuctQuote is a priceless tool that really allows us to up our customer service game. If you are using some other duct work supplier, you really should make the change to US Duct!!!  You will be happy you did and wonder why it took you so long to make the change!!"

-Mike K., Industrial Equipment Supplier

How do you handle complex or custom orders?

This is how we handle them:

“US Duct encompasses a modern approach to the rare concept of full scope customer service and an unyielding commitment to the word "yes." From their expertise of ducting options and ability to manufacture high-quality custom parts as needed; to the suggestion and reminder of any product you may have forgotten or need on the job, quick response, and even faster ship times. None of this is added to the price, which beats out other suppliers, large or small. It is easy to see their entire team is centered on excellence. That is not something found consistently and makes it a pleasure to work with US Duct”.

-Elizabeth D., Waste Collection

How is your service different from other vendors?

Our customers can answer this:

"Our Team at Diversified Equipment and Supply has been working with the US Duct Team now for about 5 years. We have worked with several other piping providers but none of them offered the level of service and expertise that US Duct has shown us as a true partner in a vendor. My Duct Guy goes beyond the call of duty to make sure to make it happen expeditiously with the best support and a 3D Cad system that is second to nobody. I only wish we had more vendors with the same kind of commitment to quality and good distribution practices as US Duct sets the benchmark for our team!"

-Ross G.

"The team at US Duct have been a phenomenal asset to ISC Sales. From delivering the highest quality products to their amazing and helpful account managers and customer service, US Duct have definitely set the bar for quality and knowledge. Knowing that you are working with the best of the best, you can rely on the incredible team at US Duct."

-Vincent C.

How do you maintain communication throughout the order process?

"The US Duct team is great at communicating and helping us lay out the ductwork for our customers. It makes everything easier and quicker, which is really key. It enables us to stay on top of things and be more responsive while building our reputation, helping us grow and complete more projects."

-Pam S.

What is the difference between clamp-together ducting over spiral ducting?

Clamp-Together Ducting: quick assembly, easy to install with clamps, and no special tools, screws, or welding needed.

-Adjustable: Can be easily disassembled and reconfigured, ideal for systems needing frequent changes.

-Sealing: Includes gaskets for a tight seal, reducing air leakage.

-Smooth Interior: No screws or rivets, minimizing dust buildup and clogs.

-Material Flexibility: Available in various materials like galvanized or stainless steel. Spiral Ducting: Rigid: More durable due to its construction.

-Cost: May be cheaper in materials but takes longer to install, increasing labor costs.

-Aesthetics: Often left exposed for its appealing look in architectural designs.

-Customization: Requires more tools and effort for cutting and sealing. For industrial dust collection, clamp-together ducting is preferred for its ease of installation, flexibility, and sealing efficiency.

Spiral ducting sucks compared to clamp-together.

What is your return policy?

Please contact your Duct Guy/Gal.

What is the benefit of clamp-together ducting over spiral ducting?

It cuts down installation time by 70% because it is a no-weld, easy-apply process that doesn't require specific measurements within 5 feet. Just clamp and go!
