Selecting the right duct material is critical for chemical and wastewater applications where corrosive fumes, moisture, and harsh operating conditions can shorten system life. This guide compares galvanized steel, stainless steel, and flanged ductwork, helping engineers, contractors, and plant managers choose the best solution for long-term performance, reliability, and corrosion resistance.
Oil Mist Curbs
It’s simply not possible to tighten a worm clamp tightly enough to stop flex hose connections from leaking. The result is safety and housekeeping issues caused by coolant leaking onto equipment and floors. Oil mist curbs capture these leaks at the source, where weep holes funnel the coolant back into the system.
- The curbs allow the hose to leak but capture it in a curb fully welded around an adapter.
- As the oil leaks, it leaks into the curb. Small weep holes drilled at the base of the curb allow the oil to weep/leak back into the machine.
- Diameters are +/- 1/8 inch. Galvanized Metal.
